AJW Aviation renews power-by-the-hour contracts with Air Blue and Air Peace

11 Jul 2016

AJW delivers scalable efficiencies and dispatch reliability as each airline pursues their own growth strategy

AJW Aviation, the integrated aircraft support specialist, has renewed power-by-the-hour contracts with Air Blue, Pakistan, and Air Peace, Nigeria.   Air Blue first signed an agreement with AJW in 2005, becoming one of the organisation's longest standing PBH customers. It is testimony to the reassurance and flexibility provided by the service that they are moving into their eleventh year of sustained support.  Air Blue has now extended its PBH contract for a further five years in support of their fleet of three Airbus A320s and four Airbus A321 aircraft.

AJW is the largest independent supplier of Airbus spares worldwide and has the experience and resources to service the Air Blue contract with confidence. Daniel Watson, Chief Commercial Officer, AJW Group is especially pleased to announce the longevity of this relationship. "This renewed and extended contract with Air Blue again demonstrates that we are the best at what we do - with our dedicated customer focus, and flexible solutions. We continually develop and maintain strict performance criteria and find new ways to best utilise our global stock locations. For this contract based in Pakistan we are able to locate and dispatch spares in the shortest possible time from our hubs in Singapore and Dubai. Our infrastructure and experienced multi-disciplinary teams provide exemplary service delivery and this level of support is indicative of our expanding business programmes throughout the Indian sub-Continent."

Air Peace, founded in 2013, is a privately owned airline, created to serve the rapidly expanding domestic Nigerian market.  AJW originally signed a two year contract in 2014 to provide power-by-the-hour support for its four B737-500 aircraft.  Air Peace has now extended the contract for a further two years in support of their expanding fleet of seven Boeing 737s.

The programme is underpinned by AJW's guaranteed service levels and award-winning AOG – a significant factor in Air Peace's decision to select AJW as its trusted operational partner. "Best-in-class supply chain management is crucial to Air Peace's focus on remaining ultra-affordable" says Daniel Watson. "With AJW on board, the airline knows it can rely on our MRO expertise while they focus on running the airline.  Aviation is critical in Africa, the country is immense and the infra-structure is limited, but mobile Internet penetration is high. Air Peace is reaching a whole new genre of African flyers."

AJW's focus on developing innovative support agreements for global operators of all sizes has formed the foundation of the Company's business strategy across the African and Asian continents. Established airlines and start-ups seek flexible partners that share their vision, and they are prepared to adopt new processes and ways of working to build business success.

AJW has a global fleet of more than 1,300+ aircraft under contract worldwide and operates a preferred supplier network of selected MROs and independent and OEM workshops, including AJW Technique in Montreal.  The Company's substantial purchasing power, which is greater than many airlines, not only ensures a premium level of repair service but enables the inherent pricing reductions to directly benefit every customer.
