AJW Aviation signs line maintenance service agreement with Storm Aviation

30 Oct 2014

Competitive, turn-key solution for smaller fleet customers and start-up airlines

London, 30th October 2014: Integrated aircraft support specialist, AJW Aviation, has partnered with Storm Aviation to further extend their total aircraft support solution that is transforming operational efficiency and cost-savings for smaller fleets and start-up airlines.

Storm Aviation is EASA Part-145 and Part-147, approved. It operates line stations across Europe, Asia and the Commonwealth states and will also provide B1 and B2 engineers and line maintenance staff direct to customers. Storm's expertise covers a broad range of commercial aircraft types from the Airbus A320 to A380, Boeing B737 to B777, and regional jets.

Deepak Sharma, Chief Technical Officer – AJW Group, explains AJW's strategy: "It is the Group's intention to provide airline customers of all sizes with a portfolio of aircraft support services that enable them to maintain competitive operational efficiency. Already we have established strategic partnerships with professional service providers such as CAMO4jets and Jet Aviation; and with OEMs like Thales and Honeywell. Our customers know they can come to AJW for a bespoke total solution that is designed to support their business exactly how they want it.

"Encompassing Storm Aviation within the AJW 'family' ensures that their long-established credentials and line maintenance expertise, gained across a diverse customer base of leading global airlines such as Emirates and Singapore Airlines, will complement our component support and repair programmes. Together we can deliver the fully managed and totally outsourced, cross-fleet, MRO business model that forward-looking airlines are seeking to maximise their profitability and dependability."

After signing the agreement at MRO Europe in Madrid, Thomas Buckley, CEO of Storm Aviation, added: "AJW has a strong reputation worldwide for developing innovative support solutions for operators large and small, and they manage a global fleet of more than 500 aircraft under power-by-the-hour. Combining AJW's flexibility with the expertise and service provided by Storm's line maintenance stations and qualified engineers will give airlines total reassurance as they seek to achieve 100% reliability and flight quality."
