London, August 18th 2015: Intrepid Aviation, the fast-growing global aircraft leasing company which leases modern fuel-efficient twin-engine widebody aircraft to a diverse group of airlines throughout the world, has partnered with AJW Group - a worldwide specialist in integrated aircraft support programmes.
Under the agreement, AJW will provide aircraft components on a sale, exchange or loan basis, and provide repair management services.
Intrepid Aviation has a rapidly growing portfolio of young twin-engine widebody passenger aircraft such as the Airbus A330, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Additionally, it has commitments to purchase new aircraft directly from Airbus and Boeing.
Daniel Perez, Executive Vice President of Operation and Aircraft Programs at Intrepid was keen to bring in AJW for a number of important reasons. "Our aircraft are on lease to multiple airline customers in eleven countries and include well-known global airlines, flag carriers and rapidly expanding Low Cost Carriers. AJW's expertise complements our internal capabilities." Added to that, he says "We are focused on streamlining our operation and improving efficiency so we can concentrate on our primary business activity of acquiring, configuring, marketing and leasing aircraft".
Intrepid Aviation is one of a number of aircraft lessors that AJW Group supports globally and as Angela Garber, VP Sales – AJW Aviation, points out: "AJW's global network and renowned 24/7/365 AOG were crucial factors in Intrepid Aviation's decision. Primarily the agreement will be supported by AJW's teams in the US, and by the AJW Technique component repair facility in Montreal. However AJW's Singapore base will be a valuable local asset for Intrepid's operations in South Asia as the relationship develops."
