Following a sixteen year career with MTU Maintenance and MTU Aero Engines, and most recently as VP & Chief Commercial Officer for MTU Maintenance Canada, Daniel Watson has proven leadership skills in the aerospace/MRO sector. He has directed management teams internationally and managed contracts and programmes worth several billions of USD covering aircraft and engine components, leasing and engine MRO for commercial and military aircraft. He is also a Chartered Professional Accountant with an MBA and is a respected industry adviser.


Daniel now leads commercial negotiations with customers at AJW Aviation and AJW Engines divisions, and is responsible for AJW’s significant PBH programme, sales, commercial tenders/proposals and key account management. Additionally, he develops relationships with key airlines to transform their operational efficiency. 


Daniel Watson joined AJW as Chief Commercial Officer in April 2016 and is based at corporate headquarters in the UK.

Chief Technical Officer

David Lewis is Chief Technical Officer of AJW Aviation. An experienced engineer, Dave brings low-cost-carrier, lessor, airline, military maintenance engineering management to AJW’s executive team. He is responsible for: technical standards and best practices across all divisions of the business, specifically MRO, reliability, warranty and inventory management for customer’s technical spares support programmes, aircraft maintenance, engine management and asset health monitoring; guiding aircraft teardown and end of lease management reconciliations, as well as service level agreements with AJW’s approved repair vendors.


Dave joined AJW following a seven year career at flydubai, where he was Head of Engineering responsible for fleet airworthiness, engine management, technical planning & records, and safety. He was also accountable for aircraft purchase and lease contracts, and all maintenance costs and service agreements, including relationships with manufacturers and OEMs. Prior to that, he worked as Technical Consultant to GECAS with full responsibility for the management and re-delivery of Boeing 737-800 aircraft.


As Station Engineering Manager at XL Airways, Dave assumed total management of all engineering activity at London Gatwick airport including the development of a fully insourced MRO solution. This position was preceded by various maintenance control roles within the airline, which he joined in 2002 after hands-on aircraft maintenance and engineering roles with companies such as British Airways, Thomas Cook and KLM Engineering. Dave trained with the Royal Air Force airframe and engine maintenance management apprentice scheme, rising to the rank of corporal and supervising teams of engineers, often in areas of conflict. He has an MBA and holds an EASA Part 66 A1 and B1 licence with various aircraft type ratings.

Angela joined AJW in 2010 to assist in the growth and expansion of our footprint in North America. Her 20 years in the aviation aftermarket industry include a wide range of experience in sales and marketing, business development, operations, quality and general management. She currently supports a diverse US customer base including airlines and MRO's by providing technical, financial and contractual solutions while driving development of national sales strategies. Prior to joining AJW Angela spent nearly 15 years at Airline Spares America ultimately holding the position of Vice President, as well as 2 years with Component Control as a sales and business development executive.

With over 23 years' experience in aviation, Cari joined AJW in September 2014. In her previous role as National Account Manager at GECAS she played a key part in account management and planning. With over 25 years' experience in aviation, Conrad has worked previously for Flightspares and the BBA Group before joining AJW as Commercial & Contracts Manager in 2004. With a change in role to MRO Director in 2007, he became responsible for the total repair management service at AJW, supporting both AJW and direct customer inventories, developing them significantly under his tenure. Following this, Conrad took up position as Sales Development Director whose responsibilities included the management and sale of all major assets held by AJW, with the additional focus of continual development and growth of all aspects of AJW capabilities. In July 2016, Conrad was appointed to VP Strategic Material & Asset Management to manage and develop existing and future consigment opportunities, with an initial team of six to increase the current stock and sales portfolio for our global programmes.

As AJW Aviation's first graduate trainee Josh spent several years learning the key aspects of operational development within the organisation. This led into strategic project management at all levels implementing change solutions across the AJW Group. Josh has been in the AJW Technique team since day one and was quickly moved into the development of global corporate initiatives in relation to product scope as well as target market. With ground up core knowledge of the business from acquisition to full scale technical production Josh has been able to leverage a deep seeded understanding of aircraft component maintenance to augment the sales effort. Now Director of Sales for the organization he is accountable for all incoming revenue streams and as such influences both near and future objectives from a strategic standpoint. Analysis of competitive intel, formation of commercial proposals, evolving service delivery, maintaining steady account growth and forging new sales channels all fall under his remit.

Chief Commercial Officer

Following a sixteen year career with MTU Maintenance and MTU Aero Engines, and most recently as VP & Chief Commercial Officer for MTU Maintenance Canada, Daniel Watson has proven leadership skills in the aerospace/MRO sector. He has directed management teams internationally and managed contracts and programmes worth several billions of USD covering aircraft and engine components, leasing and engine MRO for commercial and military aircraft. He is also a Chartered Professional Accountant with an MBA and is a respected industry adviser.


Daniel now leads commercial negotiations with customers at AJW Aviation and AJW Engines divisions, and is responsible for AJW’s significant PBH programme, sales, commercial tenders/proposals and key account management. Additionally, he develops relationships with key airlines to transform their operational efficiency. 


Daniel Watson joined AJW as Chief Commercial Officer in April 2016 and is based at corporate headquarters in the UK.

David Lewis is Chief Technical Officer of AJW Aviation. An experienced engineer, Dave brings low-cost-carrier, lessor, airline, military maintenance engineering management to AJW’s executive team. He is responsible for: technical standards and best practices across all divisions of the business, specifically MRO, reliability, warranty and inventory management for customer’s technical spares support programmes, aircraft maintenance, engine management and asset health monitoring; guiding aircraft teardown and end of lease management reconciliations, as well as service level agreements with AJW’s approved repair vendors.


Dave joined AJW following a seven year career at flydubai, where he was Head of Engineering responsible for fleet airworthiness, engine management, technical planning & records, and safety. He was also accountable for aircraft purchase and lease contracts, and all maintenance costs and service agreements, including relationships with manufacturers and OEMs. Prior to that, he worked as Technical Consultant to GECAS with full responsibility for the management and re-delivery of Boeing 737-800 aircraft.


As Station Engineering Manager at XL Airways, Dave assumed total management of all engineering activity at London Gatwick airport including the development of a fully insourced MRO solution. This position was preceded by various maintenance control roles within the airline, which he joined in 2002 after hands-on aircraft maintenance and engineering roles with companies such as British Airways, Thomas Cook and KLM Engineering. Dave trained with the Royal Air Force airframe and engine maintenance management apprentice scheme, rising to the rank of corporal and supervising teams of engineers, often in areas of conflict. He has an MBA and holds an EASA Part 66 A1 and B1 licence with various aircraft type ratings.

Angela joined AJW in 2010 to assist in the growth and expansion of our footprint in North America. Her 20 years in the aviation aftermarket industry include a wide range of experience in sales and marketing, business development, operations, quality and general management. She currently supports a diverse US customer base including airlines and MRO's by providing technical, financial and contractual solutions while driving development of national sales strategies. Prior to joining AJW Angela spent nearly 15 years at Airline Spares America ultimately holding the position of Vice President, as well as 2 years with Component Control as a sales and business development executive.

With over 23 years' experience in aviation, Cari joined AJW in September 2014. In her previous role as National Account Manager at GECAS she played a key part in account management and planning. This included taking responsibility for an award-winning Boeing Government contract for nine years. She also co-ordinated and implemented training programmes for sales support and purchasing staff. Cari is now responsible for developing AJW's relationships with new customers, and strives to broaden the current scope of AJW's aircraft component sales with leading airlines and MROs.

With over 25 years' experience in aviation, Conrad has worked previously for Flightspares and the BBA Group before joining AJW as Commercial & Contracts Manager in 2004. With a change in role to MRO Director in 2007, he became responsible for the total repair management service at AJW, supporting both AJW and direct customer inventories, developing them significantly under his tenure. Following this, Conrad took up position as Sales Development Director whose responsibilities included the management and sale of all major assets held by AJW, with the additional focus of continual development and growth of all aspects of AJW capabilities. In July 2016, Conrad was appointed to VP Strategic Material & Asset Management to manage and develop existing and future consigment opportunities, with an initial team of six to increase the current stock and sales portfolio for our global programmes.

Sam began his career in the recuitment side of aviation before transitioning into a more sales-centric role at AeroTurbine as Director of Sales - EMEA.


He joined AJW in 2017 as Sales & Business Development Director - Engines. Based at the company's UK headquarters, he is responsible for enhancing service levels and extending AJW's capability to support customers with a range of tailored and flexible engine solutions.

As AJW Aviation's first graduate trainee Josh spent several years learning the key aspects of operational development within the organisation. This led into strategic project management at all levels implementing change solutions across the AJW Group. Josh has been in the AJW Technique team since day one and was quickly moved into the development of global corporate initiatives in relation to product scope as well as target market. With ground up core knowledge of the business from acquisition to full scale technical production Josh has been able to leverage a deep seeded understanding of aircraft component maintenance to augment the sales effort. Now Director of Sales for the organization he is accountable for all incoming revenue streams and as such influences both near and future objectives from a strategic standpoint. Analysis of competitive intel, formation of commercial proposals, evolving service delivery, maintaining steady account growth and forging new sales channels all fall under his remit.

Starting as a customer service executive, Asier progressed quickly to the role of team leader, overseeing the European market. Caroline Cauvin is Director of Procurement at AJW Aviation. She is responsible for the development of all purchasing activities across the business and ensures the Group-wide purchasing strategy to realise efficiency benefits and financial savings across multiple areas is delivered.


Caroline manages planning and purchasing across: aircraft components, subcomponents, repairs, consumables and third party supplier services.  Her expertise in managing diverse vendor relationships and significant cross-functional procedures and programmes complements AJW’s lean approach and globally renowned contracted services to airlines of all sizes.


She joined AJW from Virgin Atlantic Airways where she was VP of Procurement. Prior to joining Virgin, Caroline worked as Purchasing Manager for Kimberley Clark Europe and Sourcing Manager for Nike across Europe and Asia.

Ian Foster joined AJW Aviation as MRO Manager in 2006 following ten years' experience at BAE Systems (Regional Aircraft).  In 2011 he was appointed to the position of Vendor Manager, responsible for AJW's entire Vendor Management Team.  Ian's role encompasses the performance monitoring and rigorous benchmarking of AJW's chosen global workshops.  In addition to these responsibilities Ian negotiates and implements all of AJW's strategic supplier agreements worldwide.
