Vice President of Business Development – North America
David joined AJW Group in 2024 as Vice President of Business Development – North America. His customer-focused approach to sales reinforces his strong interpersonal, sales, and contract negotiating skills. David is responsible for nurturing relationships with key customers to harvest and maximise the opportunities arising from our placement in the region and to grow the reach of the business.
Having graduated from the University of Glasgow with a B.Eng. (Hons) in Aeronautical Engineering, David built his knowledge and experience working with OEMs and lessors, including BAE Systems and Elix Aviation. As a consultant to the aviation industry, his leasing and relationship-building experience serve him well as he nurtures our customer relationships while promoting the AJW brand and services.
David is a qualified USA Rugby Referee and Coach, coaches his local high school rugby club, and enjoys motoring, and collecting, building, and repairing guitars. When not blowing the whistle or strumming the strings, he spends time relaxing with his wife and son.
James O'Connor

James began his career in a sales and logistics environment and joined the AJW team in the UK at the beginning of 2016 to support their US account. Since then, he has relocated to Montreal where he operates from our MRO facility, AJW Technique. James’ role is to provide customer-centric support and solutions and to act as a primary contact to connect customers with AJW's portfolio of services. Focusing on building new relationships across the region he applies his years of experience in the sector to transform aviation efficiency.
When not in the office, James spends his time at the bouldering gym, taking part in distance runs, and teaching classes on the Highland Bagpipes.
