We’ve extended our long-term relationship with Ethiopian Airlines with a contract for the maintenance and repair of parts.
The contract will be carried out in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines for the delivery of their B737NG Component MRO services and will include repairs at AJW Technique, AJW Group’s maintenance facility in Montreal.
Ethiopian Airlines is the flag carrier of Ethiopia and is wholly owned by the Ethiopian government. Its headquarters are at Bole International Airport in Addis Adaba from which it serves a network of 125 destinations and operates a fleet of 120 aircraft.
The airline has been a long-term customer of AJW’s trading business, parts sales and support services, and this new partnership marks an extension to the current offering.
Zelalem Tsehaye, Ethiopian Airlines MRO Managing Director commented:
“We are so optimistic that the signing of a repair management contract with AJW will enhance the capabilities and excellence of our Sub-Saharan Africa’s largest maintenance center and take it to the next level. Currently, our MRO carries out unscheduled maintenance works and winglet installations on the B767 and B737. The partnership will, therefore, enable us to fill the existing gaps in the maintenance and Overhaul of B737 as we envision becoming the leading MRO service provider in Africa.”
Hafsah Abdulsalam, Group Sales Director of AJW Group, said:
“We are delighted to announce that we are building on our long-standing relationship with Ethiopian Airlines with this maintenance and repair contract. As Africa’s largest airline, Ethiopian serves a wide network of destinations and carries thousands of passengers each year. By partnering with AJW they can focus on growing their fleet safe in the knowledge that their MRO needs are taken care of.”
Sajedah Rustom, Chief Executive Officer of AJW Technique, said:
"This is an exciting repair management contract for us at AJW. Our extensive OEM partnerships and world-class repair capabilities at AJW Technique, ensures we provide high quality, cost-competitive repair management solutions to a wide range of fleets across the globe.”
