London sets the tone for resilience and opportunities in MRO at MRO Europe.
MRO Europe was the place to be this October as the Aviation family reunited to mingle and market. Interviews were held, conference panels gave insight, deals and partnerships were signed, and press releases abounded. The event in London was well attended as the upturn in travel post the pandemic restrictions sees the aviation industry ramping up its capacity to deal with its travel hungry customer base.
After a very successful meeting of stakeholders in the MRO and aftermarket industries at the event, AviTrader approached industry experts, including AJW’s Louis Mallette, SVP Operations, AJW Technique, and asked them about their experiences at the event and about opportunities they see going into 2023.
For AJW Group celebrating its 90 years in business, MRO Europe was not only a time to reflect on the highlights of the past nine decades, but also created opportunities to grow the business going forward. Although the rising fuel prices, supply chain fracture, and geo-political issues still loom strongly in the industry, the experts feel optimistic about new opportunities and growth happening within aerospace.
When asked about AJW’s driving focus, Mallette responded;
“The driving focus at AJW is to continue the journey of developing digital transformation strategies to improve business operational efficiency to enable the company to reinforce customer service delivery.”
Mallette went on to say that as industry leaders, AJW is moving with the times, as digitisation is not a choice right now, it is a necessity. The Group believes that only by using the innovative technology available to the industry, will businesses become more sustainable and effective. Aviation industry members need to collaborate to develop and implement more effective ways of approaching business, he says.
The article went on to discuss the factors affecting the ongoing supply chain struggles and Mallette concluded saying; “Through embracing technology, having an agile approach to change, and collaborating within aviation industry stakeholders, we will see a definite recovery in the industry.”
