Increasing on-site renewable energy generation, including a targeted 35% increase in solar energy capacity, enabling up to 55% of our UK headquarters’ energy demand to be met through renewable sources.

 

Improving energy efficiency through initiatives such as the installation of LED lighting across our headquarters and the optimisation of building systems.

 

Transitioning to sustainable packaging and related materials, reducing waste and environmental impact.

 

Embedding sustainability into procurement, by prioritising suppliers with strong environmental and sustainability credentials and supporting positive transformation across our supply chain.

 

 

Environmental Responsibility

AJW Group’s UK headquarters exemplifies responsible environmental and resource management. Our 175,000 sq. ft. facility incorporates:

 

Over 2,500 solar panels, generating approximately 800,000 kWh of renewable electricity annually and supplying up to 55% of operational energy demand.

 

An annual reduction of approximately 437 tonnes of CO₂ emissions as a result of increased solar generation, with further reductions targeted over the next three years.

 

A rainwater harvesting system, to further reduce potable water consumption.

These initiatives reflect our commitment to reducing environmental impacts while maintaining operational excellence.

 

Driving Positive Change Through Data and Innovation

We take a data-driven approach to sustainability and energy management, setting measurable emissions reduction targets and monitoring performance to drive continual improvement. Our Building Management System is integrated with advanced AI software that continuously analyses energy use and provides recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce consumption.

 

Following a materiality assessment conducted in 2023, AJW Group identified energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and diversity and inclusion as key sustainability focus areas. In 2025, we achieved ISO 14001 certification, reinforcing the robustness of our environmental management systems and our commitment to continual improvement.

 

Supporting Sustainable Aviation Operations

Our AJW Technique battery MRO facility exemplifies our commitment to sustainable aviation. Aircraft batteries are recharged using renewable energy, supporting our customers in meeting their own environmental and carbon reduction objectives. The integration of advanced technologies and renewable energy solutions demonstrates our commitment to delivering responsible and sustainable aviation services.

 

Global Responsibility and Collaboration

In 2023, we signed the United Nations Global Compact, affirming our commitment to operating responsibly and ethically in support of society and the environment. Collaboration, innovation, and transparency underpin our approach as we work with customers, suppliers, and communities to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable aviation industry.
