Transforming Efficiency through Repair, Reuse, and Recycle
With over 90 years of expertise in recycling and repairing aircraft components to the highest standards, sustainability is at the core of AJW Group’s business. Each repaired or recycled part helps conserve raw materials, cut carbon emissions, and reduce landfill waste compared to new components.
We prioritise the repair, reuse, and recycling of aircraft components and have implemented sustainable practices across our operations, including:
Environmental Responsibility
Our headquarters in the UK exemplify responsible resource management, featuring a rainwater harvesting system that we are expanding in 2025. We recently increased our solar panel capacity, resulting in an annual reduction of 437 tonnes of CO₂ emissions, a figure we aim to grow further over the next three years. Our 175,000 sq. ft. facility also houses over 2,500 solar panels, generating nearly 800,000 kWh of renewable energy annually and powering up to 55% of our operations.
Driving Positive Change
We take a data-driven approach to sustainability, setting emissions reduction targets and driving improvements across our ESG performance throughout our supply chain and local communities. Our building Management System is linked to state-of-the-art Ai software that constantly tracks our energy use and suggests energy-efficient recommendations and alterations.
Following a materiality assessment in 2023, we identified key focus areas: energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and diversity and inclusion. In 2024, we achieved ISO 14001 certification, reinforcing our environmental management systems and our commitment to continuous improvement.
Our AJW Technique battery MRO facility benefits from these efforts, recharging aircraft batteries using renewable energy and helping customers meet their own environmental goals. This integration of advanced technologies and renewable energy reflects our commitment to delivering more responsible and sustainable aviation solutions.
United Nations Global Compact
In 2023, we signed the United Nations Global Compact, affirming our commitment to operating responsibly to benefit society. Collaboration and innovation are at the core of our mission to reduce carbon emissions to create a cleaner, more sustainable aviation industry. Join us in shaping a brighter, greener future for all.
In 2024, we launched our Sustainability Strategy Statement, committing AJW Group to two core pillars:
reducing our impact
driving positive change

AJW Group participates in the UN Global Compact (UNGC), the world's largest global corporate sustainability initiative. The UNGC's vision is to 'mobilise a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create the world we want.'
To make this happen, it supports us in our continuing efforts to:
1. do business responsibly, aligning our strategies and operations with Ten Principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption; and
2. take strategic actions to advance broader societal goals, such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals, with an emphasis on collaboration and innovation.
Our participation in the UNGC is a polestar, heralding a new era of commitment to sustainability as we fly towards our centenary anniversary in 2032.
