Looking for specialist support for your next C-Check to ease the pressure on your team? | Freighter Trends

28 Oct 2021

Meeting the demands of an upcoming C-Check, whether it's scheduled or performed as part of a passenger-to-freighter conversion, puts strain on an operator’s maintenance department. AJW Group spoke with Freighter Trends about how we can ease the pressure.

The spike in demand impacts manpower availability to handle the surge in inventory demands and the quick repair turnarounds required to meet the maintenance facility's time frame. Adding to this complex, costly, and demanding period, the need to keep within tight financial budgets and source creative technical solutions that meet the engineering requirements, is key.

One solution is to allow the freighter converter or maintenance facility to handle all the inventory requirements. However, this can lead to inefficient solutions, loss of budget control, and unexpected ‘excluded item’ requirements which can freeze C-Check progress. There is another solution to help meet delivery timeframes and budgets and glean experienced technical advice with outstanding quality and reliability.

AJW Group is a world-leading independent specialist in the supply, lease and repair of aircraft components and a supply chain solutions provider to over 1,000 airlines. With operational hubs and local offices around the world, AJW commands a global presence, with cultural awareness and mindset forged from nearly 90 years of supply chain knowhow.

A key part of AJW is AJW Technique, its state-of-the-art Component MRO facility based in Montreal. Recently enhanced with a newly launched European MRO facility, AJW Technique Europe (located near Gatwick Airport), AJW Technique continues to expand, innovating as it grows. The new MRO in England charged up its operation with the acquisition of a battery repair facility, strategically positioned to support European airline requirements.

With a focus on providing smart digital solutions to meet customers’ evolving needs, the entire AJW structure is designed around supply chain process steps. Earlier this year AJW released their eCommerce platform for online parts trading, AJW® eventory. The industry-leading platform enables users to browse and purchase from an extensive inventory with easy access to full paperwork trace, chat functionality, multi-option shipping, and shipping tracking. A responsive, interactive, and mobile customer portal offers an easy entry point to ensure clients can access orders, view status on the go, and extract any related documents, enabling 24-7-365 interaction with support teams, regardless of location, with no transactional delay, full data, and process integration.

A global network of OEMs and MROs combined with nearly 90 years of experience allow AJW to offer specialist support in the supply of parts and dedicated repair management of inventory needs to lessen the pressure on a maintenance team. AJW is now the single point of contact to simplify administration and deliver:
